Microbots are reusable, centrally managed, stand-alone activity sequences, such as a login dialog or a save dialog. Changes to a sequence only need to be made once, if the sequence is stored in a microbot.
As the number of automated processes increases, storing frequently used sequences in microbots speeds up development and reduces complexity.
We typically recommend using a microbot in combination with artifacts. Artifacts are centrally managed applications, screens and their elements. Each artifact contains a Selector Value. The Selector Value tells the robot which element to click on and where to perform its actions.
Variable Mapping
To correctly map variables from the main workflow to the microbot, you can use the variable mapping dialog. This dialog opens automatically when dragging in the microbot. To perform the mapping, select the parent variable1 (1) and the child argument1 (2). Then press the link button (3).
