The Smart Indicator uses various automation providers, such as UI Automation, Selenium, or Native Automation to identify applications, windows and individual elements.
Without identification, the robot would not know what actions to perform and where to perform them. Accordingly, false or incorrect identifications are a common source of problems in any process.
You can change the automation provider by holding down the Shift key and pressing the up or down arrow. This can be useful, for example, if an item is not accessible through the default providers, so you can switch to Vision to automate your process.
In addition, you should always test whether a field has been unambiguously identified. If you use the default variant Indicate on Screen, you will not be able to see directly which attributes are used to identify an element, although this information is provided in the right pane under Properties).
