Issue: After updating a workflow to a newer Activity version, a compiler error similar to the following is displayed:
Compiler error(s) encountered processing expression
"[expression]"
'[x]' is not a member of '[y]'

Reason: The namespace containing certain types of the workflow was lost.

Solution:

  1. Below the Workflow pane, click Variables.
    The Variables pane is displayed.
  2. Click Create Variable.
Note: The variable name and type are irrelevant here.
  3. Save the workflow.
The compiler error no longer occurs.
  4. Optional. Delete the previously created variable.
