The settings under Retrieval Options detail how a keyword of the selected Keyword Type is retrieved in OnBase clients.
The following settings are available under Retrieval Options:
Changes to the Keyword Type's page are not saved until you click Save.

If this setting is disabled, this Keyword Type will not be used for document retrieval. If the Keyword Type is assigned to a Document Type, it will not be available in the Document Retrieval window, but it will display in the Add / Modify Keywords dialog box. |

If this setting is disabled, indexes based on specific Keyword Values will not be created in the database for this Keyword Type. This reduces the amount of database space used to store the Keyword Values, but will increase the search time for a Find. It is recommended that when a Document Type is created, Keyword Types with this setting disabled are not used as the only Keyword Type on that Document Type. Entering a keyword value for a Keyword Type with Optimized for Retrieval disabled in a document search on a Document Type does not fulfill search query requirements. Another Keyword Type has to be used for the search. |
