Passwords may be changed manually through the OnBase Administration Portal, such as to update a Service Account.

To change a user's password in the OnBase Administration Portal:

  1. Select the user from the Users page.

    The user's page is displayed.

  2. Under the Security Options heading, click Change Password.

The Change Password dialog box is displayed.

  3. In the New Password field, enter a new password for the user account.
    Note:

The Complexity and Content Quotas User Group password policy settings are enforced when updating a user's password. The Rotation password policy settings are not enforced when updating a user's password. This is because a previous password can be disclosed to an administrator if the new password is found to violate one of the Rotation settings.

  4. If the password change is meant to be temporary, select Require Password Change On Next Login.
  5. Click Save.
