The configuration of the media publish server provides information regarding it's service name, server address and media storage location. Currently this is used in OnBase Agenda Media for the recording and broadcasting of live streams.
To configure the Media Publish Server:
- Open the OnBase Configuration tool.
-
From the Utils menu, select Media Services | Media Configuration | Media Publish Server. The Media Publish Server Configuration dialog box is displayed.
- In the field at the bottom of the dialog box, type a name for your Media Publish Server. This name will be used during installation of the Media Publish Server, so you may want to write it down.
- Click Create. The name you entered is displayed in the Media Publish Server text box.
-
Select the Media Publish Server name, and then click Settings. The Media Publish Server Settings dialog box is displayed.
- Type a name for your media publisher in the Display Name field. This name is displayed when selecting a media publisher in OnBase Minutes.
-
Type your server address in the Server Address field. This will be your server name and server port where Media Publisher service will be installed. IP address could also be used in place of a server name. The format is <servername>:<APIPort>.
CAUTION:
If using an IP address, it is recommended that you have a static IP so that you do not need to keep changing the IP address here if your network is setup using DHCP.
- In the Storage Location field, either enter your storage location, or click Browse to browse out to the media storage location you set in Create a Storage Location for Media Files.
-
The Authentication option provides the ability to set up two credentials needed for RTMP authentication:
-
(Required) RTMP credential from Media Publisher to the OnBase Cloud Media Servers.
-
(Optional) RTMP credential from the Encoder to Media Publisher. This credential must be set when the RequireRtmpAuth setting in the mediapublisher.exe config file is set to True. The RequireRtmpAuth setting is set to True by default.
Note:Before or after you create RTMP authentication credentials, you must set up the shared key in the mediapublisher.exe config file. This is a value you create and can be anything you want. See Configuring the Media Publisher for more information.
-
-
Click Authentication. The Media Authentication Configuration dialog box is displayed.
- In the field under the Credentials text box, type the name you want for the authentication.
- In the Shared Key field, type the Shared Key. Ensure that the Shared Key used for all credentials created here matches the SharedKey used in the mediapublisher.exe config file. It provides access to the credential settings, and also serves as an encryption key for the credentials that are set up here for RTMP authentication.
-
Click Create. The Authentication Configuration dialog box is displayed.
-
In the Password field, type the password you want associated with the authentication.
Note:
If you need to reset the values, you must reenter the shared key and password.
- Click OK. The Authentication is displayed in the Credentials list. You can click Settings to make any modifications to the authentication credentials.
- If necessary, repeat steps 10 - 15 to set up another credential.
- Click Save.
