When you set up a Media User Group in the OnBase Configuration module, you must ensure that you assign the document type you created in the Document Types setting to this user group. You must also enable the Media Streaming option in order for the media publisher service to start and work properly. When you assign the media user to this group (see Setting up a Media User) the user will have the ability to use media streaming in Minutes and Agenda Online.
To set up a user group for Media:
- Open the OnBase Configuration tool.
- From the Users menu, select User Groups / Rights. The User Groups & Rights dialog box is displayed.
- In the field at the bottom of the box, type a name for your new User Group.
- Click Create. The group is added to the User Group Name text box.
- Select the user group you created, and click Document Types. The Assigning Document Types for <your user group> Group dialog box is displayed.
- From the Available for Selection | Document Type Groups panel, select the Document Type Group to which you added the Media Document Type.
- Click Add. The Document Type Group is moved to the Selected for Group | Document Type Groups panel.
- Click the Media Document Type from the Available for Selection | Document Types panel.
- Click Add. The Media document type is moved to the Selected for Group | Document Types panel.
- Click Close.
- Click Privileges. The Assigning User Group Privileges for <your user group> dialog box is displayed.
- In the Documents section, select the Retrieve/View check box, and the Create check box.
- In the Client Features section, select the Media Streaming check box to allow the media publisher service to work properly, and to allow users assigned to this group to use media in the Minutes and Agenda Online modules.
- Click Save, and then click Exit to close the User Groups & Rights dialog box.
