To extract characters starting at the beginning of a line:
- Select the Extract from beginning check box.
- Enter the column number where the characters that are to be extracted start in the Starting position field.
- Enter the number of characters you want to extract for the Keyword Value in the Number of characters field.
- Click OK to return to the Keyword Type Configuration screen.
