Windows Communication Foundation HTTP Activation must be enabled on the Application Server in order to communicate with the Microsoft Azure Service Bus.
To enable HTTP Activation in Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows Server 2016:
- Open the Windows Server Manager application.
- Select Manage | Add Roles and Features. The Add Roles and Features Wizard is displayed.
- On the Select Installation Type screen, select Role-based or feature-based installation.
- Click Next. The Select Destination Server screen is displayed.
- Select the Application Server that will be communicating with the Microsoft Azure Service Bus.
- Click Next. The Select Server Roles screen is displayed.
- Click Next to skip to the Select Features screen.
- Expand .NET Framework 4.6 Features.
- Expand WCF Services.
- Select the HTTP Activation check box.
- Click Next. The Confirm Installation Selections screen is displayed.
- Confirm that the HTTP Activation feature is selected for installation. Click Install.
