The Keyword Type Assignment dialog box allows you to configure which Keyword Types are associated with the Document Type.

  1. Select Document | Document Types to open the Document Types dialog box. Click Keyword Types to open the Keyword Type Assignment dialog box:
  2. Select all Keyword Types and Keyword Type Groups(includes Multi-Instance Keyword Type Groups) to be associated with the Document Type. Ensure you include all Keyword Types that are part of AutoFill Keyword Sets.
    • Click the arrow button to move the selected items to the Selected pane. If you selected Keyword Type Groups or Multi-Instance Keyword Type Groups, only the group Name will display in the Selected list. The individual Keyword Types will display in the All Keywords list.

    • To remove a Keyword Type from the Selected list, select the Keyword Type and click Remove.

    Note:

You can select multiple Keyword Types and Keyword Type Groups by pressing Shift or Ctrl on the Keyboard and clicking all desired items.

  3. You can also arrange the order you want the Keyword Types to appear in dialog boxes that list all the Keyword Types for the Document Type. To change the order, select the Keyword Type in the Selected list and click Move Up or Move Down.
  4. If you want your Document Type to contain AutoFill Keyword Sets, continue with this step. If not, continue to step 7.
    • If you want your Document Type to contain only one AutoFill Keyword Set, select the desired set from the drop-down list. This assigns the AutoFill Keyword Set at the Document Type Level.

      Note:

Only AutoFill Keyword Sets to which your User Group has rights will appear in the drop-down list.

    • Configure AutoFill Keyword Sets at the Keyword Type Level. If you want your Document Type to contain more than one AutoFill Keyword Set, ensure the Primary Keyword Type(s) are assigned to the Document Type and that all Keyword Types that comprise the AutoFill Keyword Set(s) are assigned to the Document Type.

    Note:

If you will be using AutoFill Keyword Sets for indexing with Document Types containing Multi-Instance Keyword Type Groups, ensure that all Keyword Types in the AutoFill Keyword Set are included in the Multi-Instance Keyword Type Group.

  5. When all configuration parameters are satisfactory, click Close.
