The Search/Result Columns dialog box is displayed each time a new Reverse AutoFill Keyword Set Lookup is added. The Search/Result columns can be modified for any Reverse AutoFill Keyword Set Lookup by clicking the Search/Result Columns button.
-
Within the Search/Result Columns dialog box, each Keyword Type in the AutoFill Keyword Set can be specifically configured.
Tip:
You can resize the Search/Result Columns dialog box by clicking the edge of the dialog box and dragging the edge or corner handles. The next time you open this dialog box, it will be displayed at this size.
Four columns can be configured per Keyword Type: Search Keyword, Result Keyword, Column Width, and Name Search. Each option is explained in detail in the table below:
Column
Description
Search Keyword
When set to YES, this Keyword Type will be displayed when searching for an AutoFill Keyword Set during indexing.
Users will be able to enter values for this Keyword Type in order to search for an AutoFill Keyword Set.
Result Keyword
When set to YES, values belonging to this Keyword Type are displayed in the Results dialog box.
Column Width
Sets the width of individual columns in the Results dialog box. This measurement is in pixels.
Name Search
This column is populated by the results of configuring Extended Search options for each Keyword Type. These options are described in the Configuring Keyword Exclusions section below.
-
Double-click the Keyword Type to configure these options. The Search/Result Column Properties dialog box displays.
The following options are available:
-
Search Keyword: Select this check box to display the Keyword Type in the Search dialog box in the Indexing dialog.
-
Results Keyword: Select this check box to display the Keyword Type in the Results dialog box in the Indexing dialog.
-
Column Width: Set the width of the Keyword Type's display columns in pixels.
-
Extended Search: Enabling this functionality displays a text field for searching for AutoFill Keyword Sets in the Search dialog box. The default functionality is None, which disables the search text field. First Name and Last Name options are available.
-
First Name: Select this option to make the Keyword Value for this Keyword Type the second position to search by. Another Keyword Type must be specified as Last Name to enable this functionality.
-
Last Name: Select this option to make the Keyword Value for this Keyword Type the first position to search by. When this option is selected, the search text field on the Results dialog box is filterable by the user's input into the text field.
Note:The First Name and Last Name options refer to the search method; they can be used for any Keyword Types that are part of AutoFill Keyword Set.
For example: You need to use an AutoFill Keyword Set containing information about a particular customer (i.e., Account Number, Customer First Name, Customer Last Name, State) in Ohio, but the Primary Keyword Value (Account Number) is unknown, so you try to perform a Reverse AutoFill Keyword Set Lookup by Ohio.
However, the organization has thousands of customers in Ohio, so the Reverse Keyword Lookup results are not very helpful. In this case, you also knows the customer's name (Rutherford Hayes), but are not sure of the spelling. Fortunately, the Reverse AutoFill Keyword Set Lookup is configured so that Last Name is configured with the Last Name extended search option and First Name is configured with the First Name extended search option.
Results can be filtered if necessary, by entering the first few letters of the customer's name. While the Reverse AutoFill Keyword Set Lookup for Ohio returns thousands of AutoFill Keyword Sets, you can also enter Hayes, Hay or H(or whatever it is you know for the Keyword Value) in the Customer Last Name field and Rutherford, Ruth or R(or whatever it is you know for the Keyword Value) in the Customer First Name field to filter the returned results, making it easier for you to identify the correct AutoFill Keyword Set.
-
Note:The First Name and Last Name options apply to any Keyword Type, not just those that are configured as names.
-
- Select a Keyword Type and use the Move Up and Move Down buttons, if desired, to re-arrange the order of the Keyword Types. By default, the results are sorted by the first Keyword Type.
-
When finished, click Save. The Confirm dialog box is displayed to ask if you want to create or update database indexes for the selected Reverse AutoFill Keyword Lookup.
Updating database indexes for a Reverse AutoFill Keyword Lookup will result in faster searching when using that Reverse AutoFill Keyword Lookup. However, updating the indexes can also take a considerable amount of time if the selected Reverse AutoFill Keyword Lookup uses an AutoFill Keyword Set that contains many Keyword Values or instances.
- Click Yes to update your database indexes, or click No to leave the indexes unmodified.
