To redact a text string from a document:
- From the Automated Redaction Dictionary Configuration dialog box, select the Dictionary to be configured from the Dictionary Name list.
-
Click Text Strings. The Automated Redaction Text Strings dialog box is displayed.
- In the Text String Value field, enter the text string you are adding to the Dictionary (i.e., the text string that will be redacted from documents when undergoing Automated Redaction).
- If you wish to change the default fuzzy matching tolerance level for the specified text string, in the Fuzzy Match Tolerance field, enter a percentage value (0 to 25). This value represents the maximum percentage of the text string's length to be tolerated as an acceptable margin of error. For example, if the specified text string is 10 characters long and the Fuzzy Match Tolerance is set to 10 percent, the acceptable margin of error is one character (i.e., 10 percent of 10 characters = 0.1 * 10 = 1 character).
- Click Add. The text string value is added to the Text String Value list.
- Repeat Steps 3 to 5 for each text string that you would like to add to the Dictionary.
-
Once a text string has been added to the Dictionary:
-
To Modify the Text String. Double-click the text string value in the Text String Value list. The Edit Dictionary Term dialog box is displayed.
-
In the Dictionary term field, enter the modified text string.
-
In the Fuzzy Match Tolerance field, enter the modified fuzzy matching tolerance level (0 to 25).
-
Click OK.
The Edit Dictionary Term dialog box is closed and you are returned to the Automated Redaction Text Strings dialog box. Note that the text string has been modified in the Text String Value list.
-
-
To Delete the Text String. Select the text string in the Text String Value list and click Delete. The text string is removed from the Text String Value list.
-
-
To allow a user to specify additional text strings to be redacted from the original document(s) before the documents undergo Automated Redaction, select the Ask reviewing user for additional search values check box.
Note:
This feature requires the workstations from which Automated Redaction is being initiated to be registered for Automated Redaction.
-
Click Close to close the Automated Redaction Text Strings dialog box.
-
If you did not select the Ask reviewing user for additional search values check box, you are returned to the Automated Redaction Dictionary Configuration dialog box.
-
If you selected the Ask reviewing user for additional search values check box, the Edit Additional Search Value Prompt dialog box is displayed. Enter the text to be displayed when a user is prompted to enter additional text strings to be redacted, and then click OK to return to the Automated Redaction Text Strings dialog box.
