Ensure that the Document Types that will undergo Automated Redaction are configured to allow redactions. For more information, see Configuring Document Types for Redactions.
-
Ensure that the documents being redacted are of high-enough quality to obtain dependable OCR results from their data. A minimum resolution of 300 dpi is recommended.
Tip:A poor quality document not only will cause unreliable OCR results; an extremely poor quality document can cause the OCR process to stop abruptly. If this occurs, delete the document, rescan using a higher resolution, and attempt to re-process the document.

If possible, convert color or grayscale documents to bi-tonal (black and white) before they undergo Automated Redaction. Performing OCR processing on a color or grayscale image takes significantly more time than performing OCR processing on a bi-tonal image.
