You can print bar codes automatically or manually. If you print the bar codes automatically, each bar code record automatically captured from a line-of-business application using Application Enabler is printed individually at the time it is created. If you print the bar codes manually, many bar code records can be printed at the same time.
When bar codes are printed, the Bar Code Generator automatically creates a self-configured bar code and adds it to the printed page. This self-configured bar code contains information about the sizes and locations of the other bar codes on the printed page, eliminating the need to configure this information manually within the OnBase Configuration module. To use the self-configured bar code during bar code processing, you must assign the <self-configured process> to the appropriate scan queue. The number of bar codes that you are able to print on a page depends on the size of the bar codes that you are printing.
If a bar code runs off the side of the page, it will not be read.
