Application Option |
Description |
---|---|
Auto-launch AppEnabler |
When this option is selected, the Application Enabler module will automatically be launched upon starting the Bar Code Generator application. |
Delete records after printing them |
When this option is selected, all records that are printed will be deleted from the record set. |
Use only active keywords |
When this option is selected, only the keyword types that are mapped to the specific hotspot that was triggered will have keyword values scraped for which a bar code will be created. All other keyword types mapped to the screen will be ignored. |
Add document type to each page |
When this option is selected, the name of the document type is printed in the top-right corner of the page on each record. If document type names are longer than 40 characters, only 40 characters are displayed with ellipses (...) appended to the end to represent the remaining characters. |
Auto Go To new records |
When this option is selected, the first record of a new batch will be displayed instead of keeping the display of the current record. Note:
This option is used with Application Enabler. |
Keep common keywords |
When this option is selected, if you enter a value into a Keyword Type field assigned to the selected Document Type and you select a different Document Type that has the same Keyword Type assigned, the value entered for the Keyword Type will not be cleared. CAUTION:
If you have configured required keywords for a Document Type and you have selected the Keep common keywords option, a check is made for required keywords when you select a Document Type. When switching between Document Types, any required keywords must be filled in first. It is recommended that this option not be used in conjunction with required keywords. |
Wide Code 39 bar code mode |
Select this option when using a low-resolution printer. This option creates wider bar codes that are recognized more easily. Note:
When this option is selected, only one bar code will print per line. Up to 13 bar codes per page can be printed. Note:
If keywords are very long, the wider bar code may be cut off by the end of the page. |
Use Extended Code 39 bar codes |
Select this option to use Extended Code 39 bar codes instead of standard 3 of 9 bar codes. This allows certain special characters (i.e. ~'!@#$%^&*) and lowercase alphanumeric characters to be used in Keyword Values. Note:
Either Kofax controls that support Extended 39 bar codes or the Hyland Bar Code Recognition for OnBase software is required when using this option. For more information, see your Kofax documentation or the Bar Code Process help file. |
Restore window on scrape event |
When this option is selected, the Bar Code Generator will re-display from a minimized state during a scrape event. |
Remove exit button from system tray menu |
When this option is selected, the right-click menu of the system tray icon will not have an exit option. |
Resolve document type |
When this option is selected, bar codes can be generated for multiple Document Types with one screen scrape event. Users can select the appropriate Document Types upon scraping. Note:
This option is used in conjunction with Application Enabler. Note:
This option must be used in conjunction with a screen scrape that is configured with multiple Document Types. |
Require document date |
Select this option to require users to create a Document Date bar code (that is, the Document Date check box must be selected) before the bar code page can be printed. |
Always use current date for document date |
When this option is selected, the Document Date check box is automatically selected and disabled, with the Document Date value set to the current date. |
Copy manual keyword entries onto all AppEnabler document type records |
When this option is selected, manually entered Keyword Values are copied across all records created for multiple Document Types with Application Enabler. Note:
If you update the Keyword Values on a record, these updated values are not copied across the other records. |
Do not enforce required keyword types |
Select this option to allow bar code sheets to be printed manually without having values for all required Keyword Types. |
User Option |
Description |
---|---|
Automatically print all records after receiving new records from the AppEnabler |
When this option is selected, records are automatically printed when they are captured using the Application Enabler. In addition, if records have been entered manually and then the Application Enabler captures a record using this option, all of the existing records will be printed. |
Label font size |
This setting controls the font size of the bar code labels that are printed below the bar codes and the comment line. Values 6-20 are valid |
Comment |
Enter any text you would like printed at the bottom of each bar code page. Tip:
It is recommended that you enter the name or user name of the user who created the bar code page in the Comment field so any questions about the bar code page or its values can be directed to the correct person. |
These options are saved in the Bar Code Generator.config file. For more information on this configuration file, contact your system administrator.
