The Delta X value is the amount of variance there might be between the X value and the actual horizontal position of the bar code on the page. The Delta Y value is the amount of variance there might be between the Y value and the actual vertical position of the bar code on the page. If the bar code is not found in the exact X, Y position indicated, the Delta X and Y parameters present the scanner with a larger area to search for the bar code.
For example, a Delta X value of 1 inch means that OnBase will search 1 inch left or 1 inch right of X, your measurement of the start of the bar code, for the bar code. A Delta Y value of 1 inch means that OnBase will search 1 inch above or 1 inch below Y, your measurement of the start of the bar code, for the bar code.
With these measurements, you are now ready to configure the Bar Code Processing.
