These settings are used to configure the options needed to encode batches in the OnBase Client. They mirror the settings on the Encoding tab of the Branch Capture Scanning Client Settings dialog box, with the exception of the Allow Encoding options and the CAR/LAR options.

This selects the behavior after correcting a field and hitting either the Tab key or the Enter key. See Encoding a Batch for a better understanding of how this works.
Use Teller Report for Amount Hint
Checking this will add a sixth column to the lower window in Batch Encoding view (Report Amount) where the amount of each check will display.
This data is taken from the teller report. For more information, see Teller Report.
Teller Report Directory
Specifies the location of the Teller Report. This folder is required when Use Teller Report for Amount Hint is selected.
Automatic Selection if Filter Matches Only One Report
Automatically selects a Teller Report if only one Teller Report matches configured default filter criteria (see Default Report Filter).
For more information on selecting a Teller Report, see Teller Report.
Note:Selecting this option prevents the Report Selection dialog box from displaying when displaying the scanning client in Batch Encoding view.
Default Report Filter
Select the default filter criteria used to filter teller reports when attempting to match a teller report to a batch.
The options selected will be the default filter in the Report Selection dialog box, or, if the Automatic Selection if Filter Matches Only One Report option is selected, then the criteria selected are used to automatically match a teller report to the batch.

CAR/LAR Options
The CAR/LAR tab of the Branch Capture Process Settings dialog box contains configuration options that control the CAR/LAR functionality in the OnBase Client.
Additional configuration must be performed before these options can be set and CAR/LAR can be performed in the OnBase Client. For more information, see Configuring CAR/LAR Functionality.
Note:This configuration is specific to configuring CAR/LAR to take place in the OnBase Client when the XML check data file is processed. To configure CAR/LAR to be performed in the scanning client when the checks are scanned, see The CAR/LAR Tab.
CAR/LAR requires additional licensing and software. A dongle, required to perform CAR/LAR, may be installed on the scanning workstation or on a network server for access by multiple scanning workstations.
Each CAR/LAR solution is allotted a certain number of correctly recognized documents. As you scan and/or process batches and use CAR/LAR to determine the Check Amount value, the number of documents you will be allowed to use CAR/LAR to process decreases. Once this number reaches zero, you will be unable to use CAR/LAR to process any further checks.
Enable
Select this check box to enable CAR/LAR for the OnBase Client. Once selected, the remainder of the options in the CAR/LAR section are enabled.
Note:The Enable check box is only available if your system is properly licensed for the CAR/LAR functionality
Favor Existing Amount when Available
Select this check box to skip CAR/LAR processing if the Check Amount was detected in the check's MICR line or if the value was entered manually.
Note:When this option is selected and a value is detected in the MICR line or is entered manually, the CAR/LAR document count is not decremented.
Confidence (1-100)%
Enter a value in the text box to determine the Confidence Level required for a Check Amount value identified by CAR/LAR to be accepted.
Only a Check Amount value with a confidence score higher than the Confidence Level will be accepted. Any Check Amount value with a confidence score lower than the Confidence Level will be ignored and have to be entered manually during encoding.
Note:Only check documents with Check Amount values that meet the Confidence Level will count against your CAR/LAR document allotment
A2iA Process
In this drop-down, select the name of the configured A2iA process to be used when performing CAR/LAR in the OnBase Client.
For more information on configuring an A2iA process, see Step 3: A2iA Configuration.
