The General tab of the Branch Capture Scanning Client Settings dialog box contains general configuration options for your Branch Capture solution.
The available options on the General tab are described in the following table:

Restore Default Window Position/Size and Column Sizes |
Restores the following Branch Capture scanning client window settings:
Click the Default button to restore these defaults. Each time the window location and size or a column size is adjusted by the user, the size values are saved in the branchcapture.ini file for future sessions. |
Confirm Close Application |
Displays a confirmation dialog box when a user attempts to close the Branch Capture scanning client. |
Local Processing Directory |
Points to the folder path that contains the document data files created by the Branch Capture scanning client. The folder path can be entered manually or selected by clicking the Browse button. |
On-Us ABA Number File |
Points to the file path of the On-Us ABA Number XML file. The path can be entered manually or selected by clicking the Browse button. This file provides a list of checks in a batch that are On-Us. Select the View button to view the ABA numbers configured in the file. Note:
The ABA Number File is an XML file that is created outside the Branch Capture program. For more information, see On-Us ABA Number File. |
Detect Duplicate in Active Batches |
Enables duplicate batch detection in the Active Batches view. |
Detect Duplicate in Transmitted Batches |
Enables duplicate batch detection in the Batch History view. |
Clear Teller ID After Each Batch |
Clears the Teller ID after each batch is scanned. |
Clear Branch ID After Each Batch |
Clears the Branch ID after each batch is scanned. When this option is selected, the user is required to enter the Branch ID for every scanned batch. Note:
The Branch ID field on the General tab is not available when this option is selected. |
Terminate Batch When Tray Is Empty |
Stops scanning and ends the batch when there are no more checks in the scanner. |
Exclude Active Batches from Daily Report |
Displays only transmitted batches on a daily report. Any active batches are excluded. |
Branch ID |
Configures the identification number of the branch that scanned the batch. Note:
The Branch ID field is not available when the Clear Branch ID After Each Batch option is selected. If Branch Capture is used to service one branch, enter the identification number of the branch in the Branch ID field. If Branch Capture is used to service multiple branches, enter 0 in the Branch ID field. This ensures the user is required to enter a Branch ID when scanning a batch of documents. Note:
The Branch ID column is only displayed in the Active Batches and Batch History view if the user has to enter the Branch ID prior to scanning a batch. |
Next Batch ID |
Configures the starting point for the Batch ID. Each batch is assigned a unique Batch ID. The Batch ID number increases by one with each successive batch. For example, if the Next Batch ID is configured to 001, the Batch ID of the first batch scanned is 001. The Batch ID of each successive batch is 002, 003, 004, etc. |
Next Sequence Number |
Configures the starting point for sequence numbers at a particular branch. Each document is assigned a unique sequence number. This number is assigned per document and is unique across all batches. This number increases with each successive document. For example, if the Next Sequence Number is configured to 001, the sequence number of the first document in a scanned batch is 001. The sequence number of each successive document in the batch is 002, 003, 004, etc. |
Image Only Scan |
Configures batches to perform an Image Only scan. The following options can be configured:

Scanner Selection |
Configures the settings of a supported scanner. Select the desired scanner from the Scanner Selection drop-down list and click the Configure button. For more information on configuring a scanner, see Configuring the Scanner. |
