The Configure button offers configuration options for the selected scanner.
Depending on the scanner you selected, some of these options may not be available.

Resolution |
The resolution at which to scan documents, in DPI. |
Grayscale Depth |
The number of shades of gray available. Not used for G4 TIFF. |
Max DPM |
The maximum number of documents per minute desired. |
G4 Threshold |
The threshold that determines whether a pixel is black or white. The scanner always scans in grayscale and then changes the pixel to black or white depending on which side of the threshold the current color falls. Choose from 1-9. |
Contrast |
The level of contrast on the scanned images. |
Brightness |
The level of brightness on the scanned images. Choose the level on a scale of 1 to 255. |
Double Feed Detection |

Enable |
Enables the Double Feed Detection options. |
Power for Double Feeding |
Sets how much power is applied to the sensor used to detect double feeding. |
Delay for Double Feeding Detection |
Sets the value for the delay between leading edges, which affects when double-feeding is detected. |
Confidence for Double Feeding |
Sets the confidence level of the scanner for when to detect double-feeding. The higher the number, the more confident the scanner must be. |
Detect Thickness |
Detects when a document is thicker than a standard check. When this option is set, and a document is passed through the scanner that is too thick (e.g, two checks that are stuck together), a message box is displayed to alert the user. |
Detect Length |
Detects when a document is longer than a standard check. When this option is set, and a document is passed through the scanner that is too long, a message box is displayed to alert the user. |
Endorser |

Enables the Endorser options. |
Endorsement Text |
Enter lines of text to print on the endorsement portion of the paper check. Use the symbol combinations outlined in the Symbols section to insert batch data into the endorsement text. Note:
The number of lines of text supported depends on the scanner. Note:
The Sequence Number symbol is not supported regardless of scanner selection. |
Horizontal Offset (0 - 180 mm) |
Enter the distance in millimeters that the endorsement text will display from the left side of the check's back. |
Font |
Select a font to print the endorsement text in. Click the Default Font button to select the default font associated with the selected scanner. Click the Select Font button to display the Font dialog box. Note:
Click the Question Mark button to display help for each option in the Font dialog box. Click on an option to display the help. |
Font Size |
Select Normal or Small for the font that is displayed in the Endorsement Text. |
Endorsement Graphic Field |
Select a graphic to print on the endorsement field. Enter a path to the desired graphic file in the text field or click the Browse button to browse out to the file. |
Horizontal Offset (0 - 180 mm) |
Enter the distance in millimeters that the graphic will display from the left side of the check's back. |
Remove MICR Spaces |
Removes spaces in MICR text. |
Detect and Display Warning on Foreign Items |
Select to display a warning message when a foreign check (Canadian) is detected. When selected, any foreign checks must be deleted before the file can be transmitted. The routing number on foreign checks is highlighted in blue in the encoding window. |
Allow Foreign Items in Image Only Batches |
Select to allow foreign checks to be included in Image Only batches. When this option is selected and foreign items are found in the Image Only batch, a warning is displayed. |
Use OCR for Non-Magnetic Ink Code Line |
Select to perform an OCR process on the MICR line when the MICR line cannot be read by scanner. Note:
When this option is selected, Branch Capture cannot route checks to separate scanner pockets. |
Route Foreign Items to Pocket 2 |
This option will route foreign checks to the second pocket on a Canon CR-135, CR-180, CR-180 II, or CR-190i scanner. These checks will not be included in the Image Cash Letter. |
Jog Time (sec) |
Selecting a number setting for this option enables the jogger on a Canon CR-135, CR-180, CR-180 II, or CR-190i scanner. This will bounce the checks up and down in the feeder prior to their scanning to ensure uniform scanning. Set this option for the amount of time a batch of checks should be “jogged” before scanning. Setting this option to 0 will turn the jogger off. |
