I am attempting to upgrade to this version Branch Capture, but the installer is not installing the Balancing client.

The Branch Capture Balancing client is not available in this version of Branch Capture.

In Branch Capture 3.1, the ability to encode and balance batches was added to the Scanning client or the OnBase client, and it was recommended that existing Branch Capture solutions be modified to move encoding and balancing outside of the Balancing client.

Beginning with Branch Capture 4.0, the Balancing client is no longer available and batches must be balanced and encoded in either the Scanning client or the OnBase client.

After upgrading to this version of Branch Capture, I can no longer process Branch Capture check data files intoOnBase.

The legacy Branch Capture Check Processor format is not supported in this version of Branch Capture.

The Branch Capture Check Processor (XML Format) check processor was added in Branch Capture 3.1. In this version of Branch Capture, users had the option to use the legacy check processor or the new XML format check processor.

Beginning in Branch Capture 4.0, the legacy check processor is no longer available and users must use the XML format check processor. The legacy Branch Capture Check Processor formats can still be viewed in the OnBase Configuration module for reference purposes.

I'm attempting to configure CAR/LAR processing for the Scanning client. After I've set all of my configuration options on the CAR/LAR tab of the Branch Capture Scanning Client Settings dialog box and restarted the Scanning client, I receive a notification that CAR/LAR is disabled and the Enabled check box on the CAR/LAR tab of the Branch Capture Scanning Client Settings dialog box is automatically deselected.

CAR/LAR requires additional licensing and software. A dongle, required to perform CAR/LAR, may be installed on the scanning workstation or on a network server for access by multiple scanning workstations.

This behavior occurs when the Branch Capture solution is not licensed for CAR/LAR processing or the dongle required for CAR/LAR processing is not accessible by the Scanning client.

Note:

CAR/LAR configuration options can be accessed within the Scanning client even if the Branch Capture solution is not licensed to use CAR/LAR processing.
