All scanned batches that have not yet been transmitted are displayed in the Active Batches view. By default, the Scanning client is displayed in Active Batches view when it is launched, or Active Batch view can be displayed at any time by clicking the Active Batches toolbar button.

The Active Batches view allows a user to identify and manage scanned batches of checks or bonds.

The status of the scanner is displayed in the toolbar and the total amount represented by all active batches is displayed in the status bar.

The following information is displayed in the Scanning client for each batch that is displayed in the Active Batches view.

Column Header

Description

Branch ID

The identification number of the branch associated with the batch of documents.

Note:

This column is only displayed if Branch Capture is used to service multiple branches. For more information, see your system administrator.

Batch ID

The identification number of the batch.

Teller ID

The identification number of the user who scanned the batch.

Capture Date

The date and time that the batch was scanned.

Image Only

This indicates If the batch is an image-only batch (not to be included in outgoing x9.37 files).

Item Count

The number of documents in the batch.

On-Us Count

The number of On-Us checks in the batch.

Note:

To display On-Us and Transit check information in the Active Batches view, an ABA number file must be configured. If no information is displayed in the On-Us and Transit columns, an ABA number file has not been configured.

On-Us Amount

The amount of money represented by the scanned On-Us checks.

Transit Count

The number of Transit checks in the batch.

Transit Amount

The amount of money represented by the scanned Transit checks.

Amount

The total amount of money represented by the scanned batch.

Encoding Status

This column displays information about the batch:

Not Encoded, Partial, and Balanced indicate the encoding status of the batch.

If duplicate detection is enabled, a batch that Branch Capture determines may be a duplicate of another batch is labeled as Duplicate?.

If your Branch Capture solution is configured to be able to return transmitted batches to active status, batches that have been previously transmitted are labeled as Previously Transmitted.

The following batch management actions can be taken on batches while the Scanning client is displayed in Active Batches view:

Add Additional Items

Select to scan additional documents into the batch.

Mark As Balanced

Select to mark the currently selected batch as balanced.

Note:

Once a batch is balanced, it cannot be re-balanced.

Transmit Batch

Select to transmit the currently selected batch for processing.

For more information on transmitting batches, see Transmitting a Batch.

Purge Batch

Select to purge the currently selected batch.

Note:

Once a batch is purged, it cannot be recovered. To re-create a purged batch, it will have to be re-scanned.

View Batch Report

Select to view the batch report for the currently-selected batch.

Note:

This option is also available by right-clicking on a batch.
