In order for IDocs to be appropriately routed, a distribution model must be defined.

To define a distribution model:

  1. Execute transaction BD64.
  2. Click Create model view.
  3. Click Add Message Type Complete this step for each IDoc type required to be sent.
  4. Click the Save button.
  5. Select the receiving system and select Environment | Generate Partner Profiles from the menu. This will automatically generate the necessary base configuration for the entries in we20.
  6. Select the receiving system and select Environment | Change Partner Profile. This will return you to WE20.
  7. Double-click on the message type created in step 5.
  8. Select the port you configured in the Receiver port field. Ensure the XML HTTP tab is selected at the top of the page.
  9. Under Output Mode, ensure that Transfer IDOC Immed is selected.
    CAUTION:

    BIC will not work properly if this step is skipped. Ensure you select Transfer IDOC Immed.

  10. Click the Save button.
