If the BIC processing server has experienced a terminal error, it may be necessary to unlock BIC processing. To unlock BIC processing:

  1. In Internet Explorer, go to the administration pages. Example path: http://machinename/archivelink/admin/main.aspx.
  2. Expand the Business Indexing Connector node and click the Unlock BIC Processing link.
    CAUTION:

    Unlocking BIC processing is only recommended when the server has experienced a terminal error, locking the batch but ending BIC processing. Unlocking BIC during active processing is hazardous and highly not recommended. Exercise caution before unlocking BIC processing.

  3. Click Unlock.
    Note:

    The Unlock button is only enabled when a batch is locked.
