You must set up a Costpoint content type for each OnBase Document Type involved in the integration. Configuring a content type in Costpoint also involves mapping Costpoint content data fields to corresponding OnBase Keyword Types.

This configuration is performed in the Costpoint web client by navigating to Administration | System Administration | Content Management | Content Types.

The Identification section involves defining the Costpoint content type and mapping it to a Document Type in OnBase. The following fields are required; additional settings may be necessary depending on the needs of your solution:

Costpoint Field

Description

Content Type ID

Enter a unique name for the Costpoint content type.

Description

Enter a description of the Costpoint content type.

CMS ID

Enter or look up the CMS ID identifying the connection between Costpoint and the OnBase data source. The CMS ID is configured in the Costpoint Configuration Utility. See Establishing a CMS Connection.

Repository Name

Enter or look up the OnBase data source.

Content Type Name

Enter or look up the OnBase Document Type to be associated with the current Costpoint content type.

Base Folder

Set to /. This field cannot be left blank.

Attachment Property

Enter or look up the OnBase Keyword Type that has been configured to store the Attachment Property of the document. See Configuring the Attachment Property Keyword Type.
