You must first establish a CMS connection between Costpoint and the Client Connector for Deltek Costpoint CMIS Proxy, which enables communication between Costpoint and the OnBase Application Server. The CMS connection is configured in the CMS tab of the Costpoint Configuration Utility.

The following table explains the major sections of the CMS tab as they pertain to setting up a CMS connection with OnBase. Additional settings may be necessary depending on the needs of your solution.

After making any changes in the Costpoint Configuration Utility, you must restart the Costpoint service for the changes to take effect.

Costpoint Field

Description

CMS ID

Enter a unique name for the CMS connection between Costpoint and OnBase.

Name

Enter a unique name for the CMS connection.

API Type

Select CMIS.

Connection URL

Enter the URL to the IIS site for the Client Connector for Deltek Costpoint Proxy.

For example: http://{machinename}/CMISInterface

Security Mode

Select Basic HTTP Authentication.

Note:

Basic Authentication is required.

User

Password

Confirm Password

Enter the credentials for the OnBase service account configured for the Client Connector for Deltek Costpoint integration.

Note:

The credentials used for the OnBase service account must match those of a local Windows user account on the machine hosting the CMIS Proxy.
