Run the OnBase Client with the -HL7PROCESSOR command line switch to turn on the HL7 Back-end Processor and Automatic Document Update Processor. Use this switch to do the following:

  • Complete the archival of documents generated by HL7 import processes (excluding Centricity Import). This includes creating revisions and all secondary archival actions, such as Workflow, foldering, and medical records processing.

  • Update Keyword values in related AutoFill Keyword Sets using reverse keyset lookup.

  • Propagate patient information on charts.

  • Prepare transcriptions to be processed by the -MRMSANALYSIS server. The -MRMSANALYSIS server is part of the Medical Records Management Solution and requires a Medical Records Management Solution license.

  • Add documents created through the Advanced Document Import process to Workflow.

  • Create documents from Merge Items.

  • Create SYS Workflow Chart documents and run their assigned system tasks.

  • Update documents with updated or merged AutoFill Keyword Sets.

  • Query the GE Enterprise Archive server for DICOM study images.

At a minimum, the -HL7PROCESSOR switch should be run on a separate Client process from the HL7 Listener. Depending on the amount of data that will be processed and updated, the -HL7PROCESSOR switch may need to be run on a standalone server separate from the HL7 Listener.
