When OnBase documents are exposed through SharePoint, they can automatically create folders within document libraries. Certain characters cannot be used to name folders. If you set up Content Connector to create folders, ensure that the values used to name new folders will not contain invalid characters. The following characters cannot be included in a SharePoint file or folder name:

  • tilde (~)

  • number sign (#)

  • percent (%)

  • ampersand (&)

  • asterisk (*)

  • braces ({ })

  • backslash (\)

  • colon (:)

  • angle brackets (< >)

  • question mark (?)

  • slash (/)

  • pipe (|)

  • quotation mark (")

Also, file or folder names cannot begin or end with a period, and periods cannot be used consecutively in the middle of a file or folder name.
