Content Connector for Microsoft SharePoint is configured through content types on a document library or list. By default, SharePoint doesn't allow you to manage content types from the Document Library Settings or List Settings screen.

To allow management of content types in Microsoft SharePoint 2019:

  1. Open the document library or list that you want to configure.
  2. Open the ribbon for the library or list.
    • Click the Library tab.

    • Click the List tab.

  3. Access the library or list's settings.
    • From the right side of the ribbon, click Library Settings.

    • From the right side of the ribbon, click List Settings.

  4. Under General Settings, click Advanced Settings.
  5. Under Allow management of content types? at the top of the screen, click Yes.
  6. Click OK to save the change. The settings page now contains a Content Types section. Continue to the following procedure, Mapping Content Types and Columns.
