Before you begin installing Content Connector for Microsoft SharePoint, note the following requirements:

  • The OnBase Web Server and the SharePoint server must both belong to the same Internet Explorer security zone on client workstations in order for OnBase Web Parts to be displayed correctly in SharePoint.

  • The OnBase Web Server and the SharePoint server must both use the same protocol: either HTTP or HTTPS. One server cannot use HTTP while the other uses HTTPS.

  • If the OnBase Web Server and SharePoint server are installed in separate domains and the OnBase Web Server is configured for Active Directory authentication, then there must at least be a one-way trust from the OnBase domain to the SharePoint domain.

  • The person who is installing Content Connector for Microsoft SharePoint should log on to the SharePoint server under a user account that is both a machine administrator and a SharePoint farm administrator.

  • Content Connector for Microsoft SharePoint should be configured from the SharePoint server machine.

  • Both the OnBase Web Server and the SharePoint server must be listed in the same Internet Explorer security zone (e.g., Local Intranet) on the machine where Content Connector for Microsoft SharePoint is being configured.

  • If multiple OnBase integrations for SharePoint are installed, ensure they are all on the same version.

Note:

The Content Connector does not work with Kerberos authentication. If the SharePoint site is set up for Kerberos authentication instead of NT, then the Content Connector cannot connect to the site.
