In the event of a database failover, it is necessary to run Hyland Software, Inc.'s RecreateDBUsersHighSecurity.exe against the OnBase database. This utility does the following:

  • Verifies that the correct SQL Server logins or Oracle users exist on the instance.

  • Maps the logins appropriately between the instance and database.

  • Removes workstation logins from the database that were created on the original instance.

Note:

Users are not able to log on to OnBase until this utility is run against the failed-over database.

Third party procedures or utilities can be used to emulate this functionality at the discretion of the DBA, such as Microsoft's sp_help_revlogin procedure. However, Technical Support assistance and guidance will only be provided for RecreateDBUsersHighSecurity.exe.
