You can upgrade an existing OnBase database using the Foundation DBUtils User Interface.

Note:

If you are upgrading your database from a schema version prior to 3.5-441, you must use OnBase Configuration to upgrade your database to schema version 3.5-441. See the System Administration module reference guide for more information.

When upgrading, you must choose one of the following options:

  • Service

  • Interactive

The Service option uses an automatic service to verify the upgrade. The Interactive option displays a challenge code. Use the challenge code to acquire a corresponding response code, and enter the response code to verify the upgrade. The response code is available from your first line of support.

  1. Navigate to the Upgrade tab.
  2. Select a data source from the Data Source drop down list.
  3. To have detailed messaging and SQL statements logged to the window during database upgrade process, select Verbose.
