Depending on the security model and OnBase configuration settings, the OnBase Client module may create a new Oracle database user for each newly-connected workstation (see Database Security for more information). The administrator should configure which default and temporary tablespaces are assigned to these new accounts when they are created.

  1. Log on to the OnBase Configuration module.
  2. Select Users | Default Tablespaces.

A default Oracle installation will create the USERS and TEMP tablespaces.

  3. Ensure that the User Default Tablespace and User Temporary Tablespace are not set to the SYSTEM tablespace.
    Tip:

The workstation user account that is assigned to the User Default Tablespace is not used to create any schema objects; however, it is considered a best practice to re-assign the default to something other than SYSTEM.

    Note:

The SYSTEM tablespace can be sized small (less than 200 MB).
