As previously mentioned, a typical OnBase database uses several tablespaces that allow for a flexible and scalable implementation. Hyland Software, Inc. recommends the use of these tablespaces, but does not require it. Although Hyland Software, Inc. initially assists with the sizing of an OnBase Oracle database, Oracle DBAs may manage space as they see fit. The default storage parameters can and should be modified to support the system as it grows.
It is recommended that you use Foundation DBUtils to create the DBSpaces for the OnBase database. However, an Oracle DBA can maintain and alter the DBSpace configuration as necessary. Note that any spaces created by an organization's DBA must be maintained by the organization.
