The RecreateDBUsersHighSecurity application can be used to reset the passwords for the following default database users:

  • hsi

  • hsicore

  • hsinet

  • viewer

Note:

The RecreateDBUsersHighSecurity application cannot be used to reset the passwords for contained database users.

To reset the passwords for the default database users:

  1. Double-click RecreateDBUsersHighSecurity.exe.

    The Recreate Database Users & HADR Initialization window is displayed:

  2. Select the Reset Password tab.
  3. Select the ODBC data source for the OnBase database from the Data Source: drop-down list.
  4. If the ODBC sources were configured to use Windows Authentication and you are using your Windows credentials to authenticate with SQL Server, select the Use Windows NT Authentication check box.
  5. Click Reset Password.
  6. If you did not select Use Windows NT Authentication, you are prompted to enter user name and password credentials. Enter the User and Password for the account connecting to the database instance and click OK.
  7. When the process of resetting passwords for the default database user accounts is completed, a message stating that the password reset process is complete is displayed.
  8. Click Exit to close the application.
