To allow for the creation and maintenance of raw text renditions, make sure the following criteria are met:

  1. The Preserve Text Formatting when Editing Transcription setting must be selected in Medical System Settings.
  2. The Rendition/Revision settings for the transcription Document Types must Allow Multiple Renditions:
    Note:

    When the Preserve Text Formatting when Editing Transcription setting is enabled, transcriptions require additional storage space. Because OnBase will maintain both a raw text rendition and a standard text rendition, transcriptions will require approximately twice the amount of space they required prior to this setting taking effect.
