A Missing Information deficiency indicates that the document is missing required information.

Note:

If a document needs to be rotated, rotate it and save the rotation before creating a deficiency. If a document is rotated after a deficiency is created, then the deficiency's orientation on the document changes.

To create a Missing Information deficiency:

  1. Select a document in the Analysis window.
  2. Use the Specialty and Responsible Physician fields to search for and select a physician to assign the deficiency.
    1. If you want to narrow the search by a particular specialization (such as cardiology), select a specialty from the Specialty field.
    2. Click the Responsible Physician field.
    3. Enter all or part of a physician's name or ID.
    4. Select the physician from the list that appears below the text field.
  3. Click Missing Information.
  4. In the Document Viewer, click and drag the cursor over the area where the physician needs to add the required information.

After releasing the cursor, the Create Deficiency dialog box is displayed.

  5. In the Deficiency Text field, enter a message describing the information needed. The physician uses the information in this message when addressing the deficiency.
  6. Click Submit. The Missing Information deficiency is created in the specified location on the document, and the document is submitted to the responsible physician.
    Note:

When a physician completes the deficiency, the text is restricted to the width of this area; the height varies depending on the amount of text the physician enters and the text in the physician's signature.
