Some Deficiency Types allow you to edit the deficiency text to add or update any notes. Depending on your system's settings, an analyst may have the opportunity to review these notes when the deficiency undergoes Reanalysis.
You do not need to edit the deficiency text before rejecting a deficiency. When you click Reject to reject a deficiency, you are prompted to provide a rejection reason. The rejection reason will be automatically added to the deficiency text for the analyst to review.
Some Deficiency Types do not allow the deficiency text to be modified. For more information, see Read-Only Deficiency Text.
To edit the deficiency text:

Add or update text as needed.

Click the Save button to save your changes.
Changes are also saved if you complete or reject the deficiency. Your changes are reverted if you navigate away from the deficiency without saving, completing, or rejecting it.
