The Diagnostics Console allows administrators to connect to the OnBase Application Server and view all the sessions for all data sources currently running in that process. Administrators can disconnect sessions as needed.

Note:

This feature applies only to sessions managed by the Application Server. If a session is not connecting to OnBase through the Application Server, then the session is not displayed.

This feature requires additional configuration of the Application Server. See Enabling Session Monitoring for configuration information.

  1. From the Diagnostics Console, select Tools | View Application Server Sessions. The Application Server Sessions window is displayed.
  2. In the Application Server Url field, enter the URL to the Application Server (for example, http://localhost/AppServer).
  3. Click Go. Current Application Server sessions are displayed.

For each session, the user's user name, session ID, time of last access, and idle period are displayed.

    Tip:

Click on any of the column headers (User Name, Session ID, Last Time Accessed, or Idle Time) to sort the Application Server information by that column.

  4. To disconnect a session, select it and click Disconnect. The Confirm Session Disconnect dialog box is displayed.
    CAUTION:

Disconnecting a session ends the user's session without notifying the user. Any unsaved work by that user is lost.

  5. Click Yes to disconnect the selected session.
