If you want to monitor a different server, you can change the server being monitored from the Diagnostics Console interface. The current server name and port are displayed in the lower-left corner of the Diagnostics Console.

  1. From the Diagnostics Console, select Machine | Server | Disconnect.
    Note:

Disconnecting from a server clears the Diagnostics Console of previously logged information from that server.

  2. Select Machine | Server | Change Server and Connect. The Redirect Server dialog box is displayed.
  3. Specify the server you want to monitor in the Machine field. For information about this, see Starting the Diagnostics Console and Service.
  4. Click OK.
  5. If you entered an address for a remote server and the service is not running on the specified server, you are prompted to start the service. Click Yes.
If the service cannot be started remotely, you must start the service interactively on the server you want to monitor.
  6. The Diagnostics Console is displayed. Available logs vary depending on how the Diagnostics Console is configured. For a description of each log, see the Description of Diagnostics Console Logs.
