You can save information logged to all tabs to a single file. This feature provides a snapshot of all information recorded in the Diagnostics Console at a specific moment.

  1. To save information from all tabs to a file, select File | Save All Tabs.
    Note:

Only enabled tabs are included in the snapshot. Only tabs that contain data are displayed when the snapshot is viewed.

  2. Navigate to the location where you want to save the snapshot.
  3. If necessary, type a name for the log file. The default file name is Snapshot, followed by a timestamp indicating when the file was saved.
Snapshots are saved as XML files, allowing you to open them in the Log Viewer. When you open snapshots in the Log Viewer, you can access all the sorting and filtering features available from the Diagnostics Console.
  4. Click Save.
    Note:

You cannot update a snapshot with information that was logged after you created the snapshot. Instead, save the latest information to a new snapshot by repeating this procedure.
