Applications settings define the following logging and connection settings for the Diagnostics Console.

Setting

Description

ServerHost

Specifies the default server to connect to. This value is displayed in the Redirect dialog box's Machine field when the console is started.

DatasourceFilter

Instructs the Diagnostics Console to show only messages logged from the specified ODBC data source. For example, a value of DMSTest instructs the Diagnostics Console to display only messages logged from the data source named DMSTest.

The Diagnostics Console will not display messages originating from other data sources or from unknown data sources. Only messages pertaining to a connected OnBase session will have a data source value.

Leave this setting blank if the Diagnostics Console should not filter messages by data source.

AppPoolFilter

Instructs the Diagnostics Console to show only messages logged from the specified application pool. For example, a value of TestAppPool instructs the Diagnostics Console to display only messages logged from the application pool named TestAppPool.

The Diagnostics Console will not display messages originating from other application pools or from unknown application pools.

Leave this setting blank if the Diagnostics Console should not filter messages by application pool.

ServerPort

Defines the default Port to use. This value is displayed in the Redirect dialog box's Port field when the console is started. The port must match the port value in the Diagnostics Service's configuration file on the remote server.

LogCeiling

Specifies the maximum number of messages logged to a tab before the Diagnostics Console removes older messages.

Note:

After the Diagnostics Console is first run, the value set in User Preferences is used and this value is no longer respected. See Changing User Preferences.

LogDeck

Specifies the number of messages that remain displayed in a tab after the LogCeiling value has been reached.

Note:

After the Diagnostics Console is first run, the value set in User Preferences is used and this value is no longer respected. See Changing User Preferences.
