The following information should be noted when upgrading the Diagnostics Service and Diagnostics Console.
- General Considerations
-
To ensure compatibility, upgrade to the same version of both the Diagnostics Service and Diagnostics Console. The Diagnostics Service and Diagnostics Console change from version to version, so the same version of each should be used to take full advantage of all features.
- Remote Access
-
When the Diagnostics Service is installed or upgraded it is only enabled for local machine access by default. Remote access must be specifically configured after upgrading or for new installations.
CAUTION:The data collected by the Diagnostics Service may contain sensitive system information. Enabling remote access can pose a security risk if your environment is not adequately configured to prevent unauthorized users from gaining access to the data received from remote Diagnostics Services.
- Microsoft .NET Core
-
Due to the discontinuation of Microsoft .NET Core version 2.2.0, issues may occur during an upgrade from a version of OnBase prior to Foundation EP2 to OnBase Foundation EP2 or later. After upgrading, you must run the Repair operation either using the installer or through the Add/Remove Programs function in Windows.
