Those receiving secure packages and attempting to extract and verify the documents contained within must install the Hyland Secure Package Verification Utility.

To install the Hyland Secure Package Verification Utility:

  1. Double-click the installer setup.exe file. This executable is usually located in the install\Signed Package Verification Utility folder of your source installation files.
    The welcome screen is displayed.
  2. Click Next.
    The Destination Folder dialog box is displayed.
  3. Enter the folder path to the folder you would like the Hyland Secure Package Verification Utility installed to, or click Change to browse for and select the appropriate folder.
  4. Click Next.
    The Ready to install Hyland Signed Package Verification Utility dialog box is displayed.
  5. Select the Create Desktop shortcut(s) when applicable option to create a shortcut to the Hyland Secure Package Verification Utility in the Windows Start | All Programs | Hyland menu, on the Windows desktop, or in both locations, when applicable.
  6. Click Install to continue with the installation, or click Cancel to cancel the installation.
  7. When the installation is complete, click Finish.
    Note:

    In order to ensure the required system settings take effect, it is a best practice to restart the installing machine once the installer has finished.
