The Digital Signatures module allows users to digitally sign and authorize documents using X.509 Digital Certificates. These certificates can be obtained from a Certificate Authority, such as VeriSign, or by a company acting as their own Certificate Authority.

The Digital Signatures module benefits a user by:

  • Allowing the ability to single-sign or batch sign documents and revisions

  • Maintaining information security

  • Integrating with Workflow rules and actions to sign and verify a document

Technical features:

  • Uses industry standard technology

  • Supports X.509 Digital Certificates

  • Integrates with Microsoft CryptoAPI

  • Uses PKCS7 message format

  • Requires Certificate Authorities

Integrations with Microsoft CryptoAPI allows users to apply a Digital Certificate Signature to documents with a single mouse click. Documents can be signed individually or in multiple batches. Digital Signatures integrates with OnBase Workflow in order to sign a document in a business process.

Note:

Unity Forms are not supported for use with the Digital Signatures module.
