Ordered Keyword Mappings are used to assign Keyword Values to imported documents based on the order in which the text appears in a directory name or file name.

Configure an Ordered Keyword Mapping if:

  • File or directory names are separated by a character such as a comma, a period, or a dash

  • Keyword Values follow a specific order in the folder or file name

If neither of these points meet your specific configuration, you may need to configure a Fixed Keyword Mapping. For more information on configuring Fixed Keyword Mappings, see Configuring Fixed Keyword Mappings.

For examples of configuring Ordered Keyword Mappings, see the Default Mapping Example and the Subfolder Example.
