The Directory Import Processor benefits organizations that want to import documents scanned from multi-function devices or otherwise organized into a logical directory structure, such as data delivered from an out-sourced service provider. Logical directories impose a structure that can be used by OnBase to automate document import and indexing.
The Directory Import Processor typically processes scanned image files, but can be used to process many file types, including PDF and Microsoft Word documents.
Note:
AFP and PCL file types cannot be processed by the Directory Import Processor.
Automated import and indexing provides cost savings and ensures the accuracy of indexing.
