The deshade process removes unwanted shaded areas from an image. To configure the deshading process, click Deshade. The Deshade Properties dialog box is displayed.

Enable

Activates detection of shaded areas.

Enable

Activates removal of shaded areas based on the configured parameters.

Minimum Width of Area

Defines the minimum width of the shaded area to remove.

Minimum Height of Area

Defines the minimum height of the shaded area to remove.

Maximum Speckle Width

Defines the width of an individual speckle in the shaded area.

Maximum Speckle Height

Defines the height of an individual speckle in the shaded area.

Speckle Width Compensation

Defines a number of pixels to add to the Maximum Speckle Width to detect variable speckle sizes.

Speckle Height Compensation

Defines a number of pixels to add to the Maximum Speckle Height to detect variable speckle sizes.

When finished, click OK to return to the Image process settings dialog box.
