The scan source is the device or file where the documents to be scanned are located.

From the Source drop-down menu, select the appropriate scan source:

  • Scanner: A physical scanner. If more than one scanner is available, you can change the active scanner by choosing Select from the Source drop-down menu.

  • Disk: means to import images directly from an electronic storage medium such as a CD or hard drive.

  • Select (if more than one scanner is available) enables you to change the active scanner. Scanners available for selection are those that have been identified as Kofax Scan Sources, available scanners (ISIS, TWAIN, or Fujitsu PaperStream IP), or the sweep source, depending on the chosen scanning method.

Additional hardware/software is required for using a Kofax, ISIS, or Fujitsu PaperStream IP scanner with Disconnected Scanning.

  • For more information, see Adding a Scanner as a Kofax Scanner Source or Installing the Hyland Bar Code Recognition Software.
