The Continuous Background Upload option automatically uploads batches while you work. When this option is enabled, Disconnected Scanning checks at regular intervals (e.g., once every five seconds) for batches that can be uploaded. If an upload is not already in progress, Disconnected Scanning uploads batches that are ready.
Depending on your configuration, indexed or unindexed batches may be uploaded. By default, only indexed batches are uploaded.
