If you are using multiple copies in a Disk Group to achieve fault tolerance, each copy should be stored on a separate file server to avoid using mapped drives, Windows shares, or running a path-mapping utility. When using this method, if the server containing Disk Group copy 1 is offline, OnBase will automatically fail over to the server containing the Disk Group copy 2, as long as it is directly accessible by either DDS or UNC paths. When using DDS for both copies, each server must be running a DDS server and be registered in the OnBase database.
